Bird 01

The Bird 01 for Ogongo Bikes is a modern interpretation of the classic step-through frame. An entirely integrated, streamlined, and lightweight electric bike crafted for everyday commuting within the urban landscape.⁣

This story started with an egg. ⁣

The primary source of inspiration for this bike was the ostrich – a robust, swift, and indomitable creature. As the project unfolded, a symbolic thread emerged, culminating in the heart of the bike, the battery, taking on the form of an egg, symbolizing life and power. In the course of our collaboration with Ogongo, the challenge was not to reinvent the bicycle but to envision a new way of engaging with the electric source that propels today’s e-bikes. The “egg,” as we affectionately term it, has evolved into a symbol of green, healthy, and contemporary mobility.⁣

UrbanFlex

Following the motto "when a designer doesn't know what to do, he makes a chair," I designed this folding chair as part of my basic design university course. The assignment was very open-ended, the only requirement being that the design provides a supportive function in its form.

"UrbanFlex" is the concept for a folding chair with a sober, straight, and symmetrical design language. The design wasn't about reinventing the wheel but rather focusing on aesthetic appeal. In terms of materiality, the chair consists of two components: stainless aluminum and recycled plastic.

Dress Light

The lights (luminaire) series called DRESS. This is the attempt to use the simplest formation with transforming of the plane into the volume shape. The luminaire DRESS body is a plane which is split (cut) on a half. Pulled out lower edges of the plain make the lights body a stable structure. The luminaire is made of acrylic stone. The LED-lamp on the top is combined with a diffusing lens. The conversion (so called ‘play’) of light and shade as well as the form of the luminaire looks like a silhouette of a figure in a long dress.

Leica Drill

A Leica-designed cordless hand drill, drawing inspiration from the iconic M series cameras, would be a true testament to the brand's commitment to precision engineering and meticulous attention to detail.

The design language would echo the clean curves, lines, and proportions of the Leica M series, translating its essence into a power tool context. The slender and elegant body of the drill would exude sophistication, with every aspect meticulously crafted for both form and function.

Knurled knobs and indented triggers, reminiscent of the controls found on Leica cameras, would provide tactile feedback and intuitive operation. Textured grips would ensure a secure hold, even in demanding working conditions.

The seamless integration of the handle, body, and battery pack would create a unified, cohesive look that is both visually striking and functional. Every detail, from the placement of buttons to the choice of materials, would be carefully considered to enhance the user experience.

In true Leica fashion, the design would marry geometric precision with a touch of sensuality, resulting in a cordless hand drill that not only performs flawlessly but also delights the senses. It would be a testament to Leica's legacy of excellence and innovation, setting a new standard for power tool design.

Lamy Vista

The @lamy_global Vista. This one was really fun to make. I've been using this pen for sketching lately and found that the transparent material created a really interesting look. The most challenging part was by far the lighting since the transparent plastic is quite tricky with reflections and refractions.

Everything modelled and textured from scratch in @blender.official and post done in @photoshop and @davinciresolvestudios
